Did you know you don't have to feel like praising God before you praise Him?
Your soul is your personality: your mind, your emotions, and your will. Your spirit is the part of you God made new when you were saved, and it is always full of love, joy and peace, whether your feelings feel it or not.
Many believers wait until their emotions feel like praising the Lord. But your spirit is always rejoicing in the Lord, so it's actually going by your feelings that misses the truth.
Sometimes it doesn't feel like praising the Lord, but the choice rests with you. If you choose to praise Him, your emotions will follow.
Let's pray together
Father, thank You that You've made my spirit new, and that it's already rejoicing in You. Today I choose to praise You, whether I feel like it or not. In Jesus' name, Amen.
